Home Modifications can be very complex or pretty straight forward.  Common modifications include door widenings, solid surface flooring, accessible kitchens, new construction/additions, generator installations, ceiling lifts and overhead patient lift track systems, garages, walkways and much more. Next Day Access can take on any home modification project, even building new homes!

Ramps

Wheelchair ramps provide safe access into and out of the home. They are one of the most commonly needed DME products for injured workers that utilize various wheelchairs, scooters, crutches, walkers or may be a fall risk while navigating steps and stairs. Next Day Access adheres to ADA guidelines when installing our ramps. Our aluminum modular ramps are available for purchase and rental.

Accessible Vans, Modifications, & Lifts

There are a considerable amount of conversions and modifications that can be done to vehicles to assist injured workers.  These can include steering knobs, floor mounted steering wheels, raised roofs, dropped floors, pedal extenders, joy stick systems, automatic locks and window controls, wheelchair tie downs, ramps, remote switches and more.  Most vehicles can be fitted or modified to include tow hitches for vehicle lifts that have the ability to hold manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs and scooters.  Other lifts can be mounted in the back of a vehicle, inside the vehicle or in the bed of a pickup truck.  Today’s technology has made full customization very attainable with proper consultation..

Stairlifts

Stairlifts provide a safe way for injured workers to access multiple floors within the home. Individuals who have balance issues, ambulatory limitations or non-weight bearing instructions most commonly benefit from a stairlift. Stairlifts can be used as an indoor and outdoor application. They are available for purchase and rental.

Vertical Platform Lifts

VPLs assist wheelchair and scooter users in getting in and out of the home. Injured workers with ambulatory issues may also benefit from VPLs.  VPLs are often installed when there is not room for a wheelchair ramp or the only available ingress/egress is through the 2nd story of a home.

Pool lifts

Pool lifts can serve multiple functions.  They can be used to provide access to pools, spas and even to boats from dock areas.  Pool lifts can be anchor mounted in place or have ballasted systems to allow for portability around the desired area of use.  Common pool lifts accessories include lift covers, solar powered batter charges and chest straps for those injured workers who lack upper body control and balance.

Patient Lifts

Patient lifts are critical in assisting caregivers with safely transferring injured workers. Patient lifts come in many varieties. They can be ceiling mounted, wall mounted, portable, 2 post, 4 post, etc. They are most commonly used to lift patients out of bed into a wheelchair or into a shower.

Grab Bars

Grab bars are most commonly used to assist in transferring in and out of a shower or tub. Having grab bars properly placed helps reduce the risk of falls. Grab bars can also be placed on walls to assist with one or two steps in-between rooms or to enter into the home.

Durable Medical Equipment (DME)

Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is any equipment that provides therapeutic benefits to a patient in need because of certain medical conditions and/or illnesses.  Next Day Access most frequently assists with DME items such as manual wheelchairs, super poles, shower benches, transfer benches, toilet safety frames, hospital beds and lift chairs.  Most items are available for purchase or rent.
